What information may have been collected

The types of personal information that may be collected indirectly on FlatMatchr NZ include:

• Your name or display name, as mentioned by another user in a listing or message
• Contact details (such as a phone number or email address) shared by another user
• Photos or images that feature you, uploaded by another user
• References to your living preferences, lifestyle, or other personal characteristics as described by another user

Why we hold this information

FlatMatchr NZ is a platform that connects people looking for rental accommodation with people looking for flatmates. Users sometimes include details about current or prospective flatmates when creating listings or profiles. We hold this information solely as part of the content submitted by other users, for the purposes of operating the flatmate-matching service.

We do not use indirectly collected personal information for any purpose beyond what is reasonably necessary for operating the platform.

Your rights

Under the New Zealand Privacy Act 2020, you have the right to:

• Access the personal information we hold about you you may request a copy at any time
• Request correction of information that is inaccurate, incomplete, or misleading
• Request deletion of personal information about you that was submitted by another user, where that information is not required to be retained for legal purposes
• Object to the continued holding of your personal information in certain circumstances
